Vision

We desire Beach Bible Church to be a place that provides the Zion area with a church family that presents Christ through biblical teaching and opportunities for growth and service. We strive to meet the needs of believers while reaching out to non-believers both locally and worldwide.

Core Values

Worship – Professing God’s worth

We are created for the praise of God’s glory, thus our relationship with God invokes an expression of our love for Him and an acknowledgment of His worthiness as the sovereign God. This worship we offer in willing obedience. (Ex. 20:3-5a; Eph. 1:5-6, 22-23; Rev. 4:11)

Service – Practicing the example of Christ
In following the example of our Lord, we do not seek to be served but to serve. This must be expressed through actions and not mere words. We are assured by God’s promises that He will enable us to minister to all people. Among believers there will be a resultant unity and growth; among unbelievers a practical demonstration of God’s love. (Matt. 25:34-40; Mark 10:45; Eph. 4:11-16; Jam. 2:15-17)

Evangelism – Proclaiming the Good News
Understanding that our relationship with God is possible only through Christ’s work on the cross and resurrection, we accept both individually and corporately our commission and make it a priority to lead others to experience the forgiveness of sin that God freely offers us all. As Christ had compassion for us all, we also must not show distinction in our witness. As God has equipped us, we seek to spread this Good News through active, effective ministries as well as by word and deed. (Matt. 9:36, 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 15:3-41; 1 Tim. 2:5)

Fellowship – Preserving our unity in Christ
Among the community of the believers there is to be a unity based upon blessing, rights, responsibilities, and privileges we share in common as members of God’s family. This atmosphere of sharing together in love is to be carefully fostered by all as we guard against the sin which can so easily drive it away. (Psalm 133:1; Rom. 12:10; Eph. 4:3; 1 John 1:3-7)

 Edification – Progressing in faith
It is God’s will for our lives that we strive to conform to the likeness of His Son. As a church, we seek to encourage and build up one another in this relationship with Christ through instruction in God’s word, spiritual training, and opportunities to exercise our spiritual gifts. It is through this process that we can mature in our personal relationship with God as well as unify the body to further His kingdom. (Josh. 1:8; Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 4:11-16; Phil. 3:12-14; Heb. 10:24-25)
